We’re excited to welcome you to the Province IV Youth Gathering in the Diocese of Atlanta! Below you’ll find everything you need to plan your travel and prepare for the weekend.

Our gathering will be hosted at Mikell Camp & Conference Center in Toccoa, Georgia. (Mikell is pronounced MY-kull).

Check-in is 5:30-7:00pm
Dinner is 6:00-7:00pm
Program begins at 7:15pm
Please let us know if you are arriving after dinner/check-in.
SUNDAY, DEC 6
Breakfast is 8:00-8:45am
Camp check-out time is 10:00am
There is no programming on Sunday.
Please let us know if you are leaving before breakfast.
WHAT TO BRING
PERSONAL PACKING LIST
- Comfortable clothes (layers recommended, since December weather can vary)
- Warm jacket
- Closed-toe shoes for walking around camp (hiking will be optional)
- Reusable water bottle (labeled with name)
- Toiletries + personal items
- Bedding (sheets and blanket) or sleeping bag
- Pillow
- Towel + toiletries
- Musical instrument (optional)
- Notebook + pen or note-taking device (optional)
DIOCESAN PACKING LIST
- Event shirts for t-shirt swap
- Diocesan stickers to trade
- Supplies for Energizers, Games, Activities your group will lead*^
* There is a Walmart, Home Depot, Dollar Store, and grocery stores in Toccoa (about 10-15 mins from camp)
^ To keep our space and schedule organized, please submit activity ideas in advance (ideally by August 1).
HOUSING
Participants will stay in shared camp cabins (students) or retreat-style cottage lodging (adults).
- The Diocese of Atlanta plans to provide adult chaperones for student cabins.
- Each student cabin sleeps 11-13 people.
- Students will be given the choice to lodge on Crow Hill (formerly Girls Hill) or Chapel Hill (formerly Boys Hill) according to their preferred gender identity. Please contact Holle Tubbs if you have questions about our housing policy.
- Adults will be housed in cottages in shared or single rooms, according to preference.*
- Final housing assignments will be provided closer to the event.
* Adult housing preferences will be accommodated on a first come, first serve basis.
ACCESSIBILITY + ASSISTANCE
We are committed to creating a gathering that is welcoming and accessible for all participants.
Camp Mikell is a natural, outdoor setting in the North Georgia mountains, and terrain may include hills, gravel paths, and uneven ground. Mobility assistance (via golf cart or vehicle) will be available throughout the weekend for anyone who needs it.
Participants are invited to share any accessibility needs or accommodations on the registration form, including:
- Mobility support
- Dietary needs, allergies, or food preferences
- Sensory or environmental considerations
- Medical or health-related needs*
We will review all requests in advance and do our best to ensure that everyone can participate fully in the weekend. If you have specific questions or would like to discuss your needs ahead of time, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
* A nurse or first-aid trained professional will be at the gathering to assist with minor health concerns or injuries.
